dress up day

 Today we dressed up as our favorite book character and I dressed up as Kristy from The babysitters club book. 

Kristy is the middle one with jeans and a green shirt.

 

My name is Rez

 This week my class was reading this book called My name is Rez. We were learning what a refugee is and how hard it is to go to another country and not knowing that language. My name is Rez was based on a true story. 

Rez and her family lived in Kurdistan but had to escape because of the war and went to Iran. But when Rez went to school she couldn't speak English but could only say "My name is Rez" and get bullied for that.

My favorite part is when Rez and her family came to New Zealand, and not after a long time felt like she was home. When Rez grew up she began to be really successful. She was the youth advisor for the red cross. And was a lawyer for a big law firm.   

Whitebait trip

 Today I and my class went on a whitebait trip it was so much fun.

The group I was in caught a lot of little fish, I had so much fun with everyone.

we got wet in the water, running around, rocks everywhere, kids looking at all the fish and walking into cow poo and jumping over it.

My group was Troy, Kate, Tamzyn, Nivayah, Caley.

The water park trip

Two weeks ago rooms 5,4, and 3 went to a water park on a lake, and it was really fun, exciting, and cool.  

My favorite part of the trip was when I kept falling in the water.

My special place poem

 My special place 
The beach was usual enough; it had trees, rock pools, big waves, dogs, and soft sand that gets in between your toes. 
My sisters and I -
 went swimming in the salty water,  relaxed in the lava hot sun,
ran after each another and caused a fight,  did tik toks and ate
food in the burning hot sun.
Doing nothing important.
