How and when the Syrian refugee crisis all started
The refugee crisis in Syria resulted in the Syrian civil war that began, march 15th 2011. The reason it all started was that the Syrians were enraged by corruption and emboldened by a wave of Arab Spring protests across the region took to the streets. But the Syrian civil war is still going on and far from over. The Syrian civil war displaced more than 900,000 Syrians this year. At least 350,209 people have been killed in Syria's 10-year war.
